You can register to get access to your online account **within 7 days** of your official transfer date, or as soon as your loan application is approved.  
- If you **created** an online account **during the originations process,** you can use that same information. Get started [by signing in.](/signin)
- If you didn’t already [create an online account,](/accounts/new) all you need is your loan number, Social Security Number, and property ZIP code.

If you had automatic draft payments scheduled with your previous servicer, the “goodbye” letter they sent you and the welcome letter from us will indicate if those automatic draft payments were transferred to us and will continue.

- If they **did transfer,** your first payment may be **delayed by up to 10 days** but there **won’t be any late fee or credit impact.** After that, payments will be drafted on the regular date.

- If they **didn’t transfer,** you can sign in to your account to quickly [set up AutoPay.](/servicing/payments/autopay/new)


How to know if automatic payments are transferring and what happens next

You’ll need to **notify your insurance company** that your loan was transferred to us and that they’ll receive payments from us now. 

Give them your new loan number and have them update the mortgagee clause on your account to:

Homeowners Insurance Changes for Transferred Accounts

Here are some of the most important things to keep in mind about your transfer:

- There are **no late fees or negative reporting** to the credit bureaus during the **first 60 days** after your transfer.    
(Your prior servicer is required to forward us any payments you make to them for 60 days after your transfer date.)

**Escrow**

- Your prior servicer is **required to forward us** any payments you make to them for 60 days after your transfer date.

How an Account Transfer Impacts You

You should have received a “goodbye” letter (Notice of Servicing Transfer) from your previous servicer when your loan was transferred to us. The letter should include your **official transfer date** and arrive around **15 days before** that date.

Around **2 weeks after your transfer date,** you’ll receive a Welcome Packet from us, which includes:
- your welcome letter;
- your new loan number;
- a payment coupon;
- our contact details; and
- other important information.

As the largest servicer in America, we’re committed to giving you a first-class experience—starting with your transfer. **Our goal is to make this transition as easy and stress-free as possible.**     
Right off the bat, let’s cover a few things you may be wondering about:   
- **There will be no late payment fees for 60 days** from your transfer date.
- **The next payment will be due to Mr. Cooper** at the address provided in your Welcome Packet.     
*(If you already paid Flagstar, don’t worry, it will automatically transfer to us.)*
- If you were set up for **monthly automatic payments**, those payments will continue with us, and no further action is required from you.     
*(Note that there could be a slight delay in the first draft while we set everything up, but there won’t be any late payment fees for 60 days.)*
- **If you’re escrowed**, your escrow balance will automatically transfer to us, and we’ll begin making tax and insurance payments for you.
