Our Cooper Climbers program is a career development initiative that provides a clear path for our customer service agents and dedicated loan associates to take ownership of advancing their career. The program consists of pathways that include rigorous training and Degreed course requirements designed to help agents master tough challenges and provide radical customer service.
Team members can take charge of developing new skills and how fast and far they advance in their career. Foreclosure Prevention Specialist Kayla Molar and Dedicated Loan Specialist Yobani Lopez-Mejia share their experience with the career development program.

What has been your overall experience with Cooper Climbers and how has it helped further your career at Mr. Cooper?
Kayla: It has been a wonderful experience! I love that requesting the training is as simple as clicking a few buttons and that I get to choose what skills I want to learn more about. I also really love the ability to test out of some of the courses as this allows me to focus on the training I really need.

Which badge/degreed course was most interesting to you, and why?
Kayla: The course I am most interested in is the Escrow badge. While I would consider myself knowledgeable in escrow, I cannot wait to brush up on my skills and learn more on the topic!
Yobani: The Escrow training was great; it was well prepared, and I learned a lot. I also enjoyed the Articles regarding how to become a better listener as well as learning how emotionally intelligent I am. These articles will help me improve personally and professionally!
What advice do you have for employees interested in the Cooper Climbers?
Kayla: Sign up early, stay engaged in the course work, and ask questions during the training.
Yobani: Cooper Climbers will provide you the tools to advance your career in both pay as well as knowledge. You will get out of it what you put into it. Take it seriously, and take your time.
