The Home Advisor Team (HAT) was created to provide our customers and our team members with a one-touch, human-centered call center experience. By combining the role of the Customer Service Representative and the Mortgage Professional, Home Advisor Team Members can better service customers by answering questions about their existing home loan and, as needed, offering products that may help the customers reach their financial goals.

What were you most excited about upon making your decision to join HAT at Mr. Cooper, and in retrospect, how has your experience compared to your initial expectations?
When I heard about HAT, I was really excited for a new challenge and the opportunity to continue to grow with Mr. Cooper and increase my income. A year and a half later, I’m extremely thankful for this opportunity. It has been everything I have expected—I have been able to almost triple my income, I have been able to grow with the HAT department, and I am now an assistant manager.
What would you tell others about making a move to Mr. Cooper?
It’s a career move and if you put in the time there’s a lot of opportunity to grow here and make a lot of money.
Compared to other companies you have worked for, what makes Mr. Cooper unique?
I have been at Mr. Cooper for 6 years and I have been in the HAT department a little over a year and a half. Mr. Cooper is unique to me because they promote within. There is tons of room to grow and I feel that they listen to their employers. They are always asking for our opinion to create a better workplace.
What has surprised you the most about your time on HAT at Mr. Cooper?
What has surprised me most is how fast we have grown and how personable our upper management is. Our VP and AVP are constantly reaching out to us to see how we are doing and asking us if we need anything.
If someone was starting in your position at Mr. Cooper, what are 3 pieces of advice you would share to help them succeed in the role?
I would tell them to be ready to work hard, be coachable, and be willing to put in the time it takes to be successful.
What do you enjoy most about being on HAT—what do you think makes this position different from other roles at Mr. Cooper?
What makes this position unique is the opportunity to grow within the Home Advisor Team and the amount of money you are able to make.

What were you most excited about upon making your decision to join HAT at Mr. Cooper, and in retrospect, how has your experience compared to your initial expectations?
From the moment I had my first interview at Mr. Cooper I knew there was something unique and revolutionary being established with the HAT division and it was an opportunity that could not be passed up. I was eager and excited to work with some of the best professionals in the industry who had a vision and goal to better the financial situation of every Mr. Cooper customer we could. I took this job out of college and in the year and a half I’ve been here, all my expectations have been met and exceeded. I’ve been fortunate enough to learn from some of the best minds in the industry, progress my career into a management role, and change the lives of countless Mr. Cooper customers around the country.
What would you tell others who are on the fence about making a move to Mr. Cooper?
Mr. Cooper is the place to be! When I came to this company straight out of college, I was promised the opportunity for career advancement and uncapped earning potential. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to advance my career rapidly and have been fortunate enough to have the financial freedom to purchase my first home and travel the world. Most importantly, you truly are encouraged to be yourself every day and build a fun and genuine relationship with our borrowers. Your work does not go unnoticed—you feel valued every day from your peers all the way up to the CEO of Mr. Cooper!

Mr. Cooper is unique in the way they care for their employees—it goes beyond just the basics you would expect. Our company is always eager to be better, in any way we can be. I get the opportunity to give feedback multiple times throughout the year on multiple topics. I feel like I have a say in big conversations. They truly do care!
What do you enjoy most about being a Home Advisor Team member—what makes this position different from other roles at Mr. Cooper?
The Home Advisor Team is like no other team you are going to find, at Mr. Cooper or elsewhere. Our culture speaks for itself! We work hard, goof around in between, and finish the day strong. The best part is HAT is the fastest growing department at Mr. Cooper. A lot of companies say this, but HAT, even in the last year, has proved to reward hard work over and over by promoting and giving credit where credit is due!
