Jason W., Information Technology Intern, is pursuing his Associate of Applied Science in Information Systems Cybersecurity. Upon graduation in August, he will be transferring to Western Governors University to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. Take a deep dive into Jason’s experience as a Cooper intern:
What was your favorite part about your internship?
I’ve had a really great time at Mr. Cooper, and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to spend my summer here. I would describe the experience as both hands-on and interactive. I’ve been able to utilize industry-leading tools that will be beneficial to me as a growing IT professional. This program has exposed me to things that I’ve been unable to gain in the traditional classroom setting.
What advice would you give someone who is interested in an internship at Mr. Cooper?
I think having the drive to learn and grow is important. Mr. Cooper is essentially looking for students who are hungry for knowledge and always looking for an opportunity to develop their skill set. These are the main qualities that would help set an applicant apart from other potential candidates.
How would you describe our company culture?
The company culture is really welcoming and positive. Everyone that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting with has been great, and I really think that Mr. Cooper has provided me with the tools needed to grow as an IT professional.
